Brexit and inclusive Gujarat

Brexit has clearly shaken the world in a way we could not imagine before. Looks like brakes have been pulled very hard to stop the global movement of globalisation and unification. This is evident in  the TED talk by Alexender Bretts on Brexit.(link attached below)

If you look at the major reasons why the British citizens decided to opt out of the European Union, one would find that the development in the UK though rapid had been non-inclusive development. By non inclusive development one means that though London and other financial districts if the UK embraced free trade and Globalization to develop as the financial capital of the World the North UK had been left untouched by the wave of Globalization, so much that people in those region started fearing the rise of industry and free trade as a threat to their everyday life and means to earn. These people started to feel more insecure when none of the political parties represented their fear on the national dais. This series of events lead to the Scotland Referendum and then Brexit.
(Why do we still have different cricket teams for England, Ireland and Scotland and not the UK cricket team?)

This situation is similiar to what Gujarat or even UP might face in the future. All that is adored in Gujarat model is either situated in Ahemdabad , Rajkot , Surat or Gandhinagar. Have you ever heard about Panchmahal , Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Dang or even Patan recently, except in geography books? Never have I heard of a new development scheme in these districts that could revolutionize these districts.Even better placed districts like Vadodara and Bhavnagar are facing insecurity and Development Ghettoism. Recent Gujarat budget was a indicative as to how strongly the Urbans of these districts have been demanding their fair share. Car rally in Bhavnagar and into some extent the Patidar quota stir show similiar kind of insecurity visible across society. This fear of globaliztion has crept so deep in the Rural Residents of these districts that they have been actively opposing industrialization, development thinking it as a threat to their daily life as evident by the opositon for NIRMA cement factory and Mithivirdi Nuclear power plant.

The Striking similiarity between the factors that lead to Brexit and that now prevelant in Gujarat forces me to draw analogies and predict a Saurashtra and kutch exit from Gujarat.(
some People in ahemdabad and other places still like to tag us kathiwadi rather than fellow Gujarati!!)https://www.ted.com/talks/alexander_betts_why_brexit_happened_and_what_to_do_next

They have created many records in the process of strengthening their hold on the telecom market like:- 100 million(10 crore) customers in 5 months of operation is unheard of not only in telecom but any sector in particular, this is faster then the growth of users on Facebook!! Jio is the Largest startup ever , Ambani has pumped 1 lakh 70 thousand crore rupees in the Jio project till date. After advent of Jio India has become No 1 consumer data in world rising from the 3rd position by beating China and USA. It has offered free data and voice to all its customers for at least 6 months at a stretch, something heard only in the movie Kingsman : The Secret Service before. But why did they do this at first place? Could they not launch their services as a regular operator?? To answer this question let me take you 10 years back in time around the year 2007 when new telecom companies like ...

PARAS India’s key to Exo-planet hunt club.

The exoplanet revolves around a star named EPIC211945201 or K2–236, with rotation period of just 19.5 days. It is very close to the host star with surface temprature of around 600 celsius. It is 27 times massive than earth and has 6 times larger radius. It is a gas giant like Saturn and Neptune.[image courtesy : Lucas Granito http://www.iflscience.com/space/unexpected-giant-exoplanet-discovered/ ] A team of Indian scientist from PRL have today announced the discovery of an exo-planet around a star 600 light years away. This is the first discovery of exo-planet orbiting other stars by Indian Scientists. The key to this discovery was the device PARAS (PRL Advanced Radial Velocity Abu Sky search) spectrograph attached to the 1.2 m telescope of PRL,at Gurushikhar Mount Abu in Rajasthan. It is also a matter of pride that this spectrograph was designed and developed entirely by the members of the Astronomy and Astrophysics division at PRL. so let us dive a bit deeper...
